"Located in downtown Bakersfield, Uricchio's is a great option for dining in the area.  

I went here for a business lunch and the place was full of business folks and a group of women laughing and chatting it up at the bar I dubbed the "Real Housewives of Bakersfield."  

The variety of plates that arrived at our table looked great (mostly salads and sandwiches).    

I ordered the Black Forest Ham (Turkey/Ham) sandwich with a side of salad.  This is a supposed to be a half a sandwich and salad -- but the sandwich is MONSTROUS.  High quality black forest ham and turkey with loads of red bell peppers go into this bad boy.  And most certainly fresh bread that was baked that day.   Absolutely delicious and very well priced ($7 or 8 bucks I believe).  

Uricchio's definitely gets a thumbs up when it comes to service:  fast, efficient, and friendly.  No complaints there.

Although I did not try dessert because I was stuffed from lunch, the desserts in the glass case looked amazing -- cakes, tiramisu, etc.

Great food, very reasonable prices, massive portions, and friendly service make for a pleasureable dining experience in downtown Bakersfield.  I'll definitely be back!"

"Great downtown ambiance, good food and outstanding service.  I've been here many times and the servers are always very accommodating and don't mind substitutions.  I was there recently with a party of 5 and everyone changed something on their order.  The waiter didn't write anything down and when the food was delivered, it was exactly as ordered.


I mostly order the chicken piccata because it's my favorite.  However, everything I've tried has been tasty.  The pork tenderlions are delicious as well.


Just make sure to have a reservation because this place is always busy (and for good reason)."
